Materials
For Eco Homes natural sustainable materials are used throughout the construction process. Superior insulation properties and precision engineered quality ensure a healthy living environment as well as providing long term energy savings and environmental benefits. For our Timber Frame Homes we aim to use timber from sustainable managed forests. Timber is a natural insulator and has low embodied energy. Combining it with cellulose for insulation, we create living environments that are truly natural. With their timeless aesthetic appeal and outstanding workmanship our homes will also satisfy the requirements of coming generations.
Fermacell:
Fermacell consists of gypsum and recycled paper fibres. Fermacell has excellent fire, sound and impact resistance, with high structural and loadbearing capabilities it is also moisture resistant and eliminates plastering trades. Fermacell Gypsum-Fibre boards contain no materials hazardous to health. The absence of glues eliminates odours and increases the breathing ability of the homogeneous board structure. Fermacell is ecologically certified.
Cellulose:
Cellulose insulation is made from recycled newspaper with non-toxic additives. With an impressive thermal conductivity values (k) its performance is further enhanced by its ability to create a high level of air-tightness to prevent thermal convection currents.
Intello Membrane:
Intello Membrane: Pro clima INTELLO® PLUS features humidity-variable diffusion resistance. Intello plus possesses the world’s best and most effective variable diffusion resistance.
